Bhala Thandanana Hindi Dubbed

Story: An investigative journalist digs deeper into a slew of cold blooded murders only to find out the truth behind her accountant boyfriend.

Review: Sree Vishnu has proved his mettle as an actor time and again but the script that does him justice seems hard to come by. Bhala Thandanana might sound exciting on paper but the heist drama’s execution fails to do him any justice.

Chandu (Sree Vishnu) works as an accountant at an orphanage where he happens to meet an investigative journalist called Sashi Rekha (Catherine Tresa). The latter chases a mysterious series of murders and finds out a cold blooded criminal Anand Bali (Garuda Ram) is behind the bloodbath. But when she digs deeper, she also finds out shocking facts about Chandu.

The trailer of Bhala Thandanana made it seem like the film would be an edge of the seat action entertainer when in reality it takes its own sweet time to get into the groove. Chandu and Sashi are as different as chalk and cheese and director Chaitanya Dantuluri wasted a lot of time establishing light hearted moments between these two, she falls for his innocence. For someone who can sniff out stories well, she sure doesn’t look hard enough at the man she loves. The preachy dialogues about today’s newsrooms and journalistic ethics too sound outdated. The film only finds its footing for a while when Sashi gets restless about the murders. The interval bang works perfectly with Chandu revealing his true nature.

The second half of the film fares much better than the first half due to this. While it’s peppered with too many twists and turns, not to mention some funny moments with Posani Krishna Murali, the film stays on track for the most part. While the planning and execution here are good, the scenes suffer from predictability. The film could’ve also done with tighter editing. The action sequences are well choreographed for a small budget film. The romantic track tests your patience and looks forced amid the chaos. The climax has an interesting twist to make up for it but the ending is a let-down. Mani Sharma’s music doesn’t help the film excel either.
